Race at Bristol’s Most Scenic Lake
West Country Water Park is the leading triathlon Bristol lake venue, hosting one of the region’s most scenic and organized triathlon event series. Whether you’re a complete beginner lining up for your first SuperSprint or a seasoned athlete chasing a Sprint PB, our 2026 race calendar has a format for every level. With a maximum 150-participant capacity, there’s no mass-start chaos. Just clear water, open roads, and the space to race your best. If you’re new to open-water swimming, you might also enjoy our charity swims or cool down afterwards on the Aqua Park.

2026 Race Calendar

Your Race Day, Step by Step
- Sign in – To guarantee a smooth start, arrive at reception and collect your race pack (timing tag, race number, timing tag strap, safety pins)
- Set up transition – Additionally, rack your bike and lay out your kit in the transition area
- Swim – 500m (SuperSprint) or 750m (Sprint) open-water lake swim
- Bike – 10km (SuperSprint) or 18km (Sprint) on marshalled roads
- Run – 2.5km (SuperSprint) or 5km (Sprint) to the finish line
- Celebrate – Specifically, collect your finisher medal and enjoy a free 5-minute post-race massage
- Relax – In total, you’ll find the lakeside cafe open throughout for athletes and spectators
Kit List
Bring
- Wetsuit (recommended for open-water swim)
- Road or triathlon bike in roadworthy condition
- Helmet (mandatory – no start without one)
- Triathlon kit or suitable run/cycle clothing
- Swim hat (available for hire if needed)
We Provide
- Timing tags and race numbers
- Finisher medal
- Free 5-minute post-race massage
- Marshalled course with trained lifeguards
- On-site car park (validation required if staying 4+ hours)

Groups, Clubs and Why Race Here
Racing at West Country Water Park isn’t just about the finish time – it’s about the whole experience. Notably, with a maximum of 200 participants per event, race days are personal, well-run, and genuinely memorable. Furthermore, our lakeside cafe is open throughout for spectators, and trained lifeguards and marshals are on course for every event.
Terms and Conditions
By signing this waiver, you acknowledge that water activities carry inherent risks, including the risk of injury, and that participation is at your own risk where we are not at fault. You agree to follow all staff instructions, behave responsibly, and not participate if pregnant or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. You also confirm that you and any children you sign for are competent swimmers, and that any medical conditions will be disclosed to our team on arrival.
