On October 1, people around the world observe World Bluetit Day. It’s a special occasion where an increasing number of self-assured cold water enthusiasts come together to rejoice in their membership within a rapidly expanding global community, which now boasts over 100,000 members.
Here at West Country Water Park we are so excited to facilitate this fantastic event. The Bluetits’ focus is on creating inclusive, accessible opportunities for people of all genders, races and abilities to improve their wellbeing, through creating friendships and bonds via its supportive community both online and outdoors in the water. We are so pleased to apart of this special day and to encourage the community to get involved in any way possible! Many swimmers report better mental and physical health and social connections as a result of joining their local flock. Some Bluetits carry on throughout the winter months, some enter swimming events, swim ice miles and even swim across the Channel.
All swimmers get a tasty slice of cake and a hot drink after their swim!
Any swimmer must wear a bright coloured swim cap AND a wetsuit OR a tow float. Please complete a waiver prior arrival! This is found at the top of the website.
