What We Offer

Are you passionate about water sports and looking for an exciting opportunity to work at the most thrilling water sports venue in the UK? West Country Water Park is currently seeking Activity Team Members and Supervisors to join our team. As an Activity Team Member, you will set up all water sports activities, conduct daily safety inspections of equipment, lifeguard, and provide excellent customer service. Successful candidates for a fixed term contract will have the opportunity to progress into Supervisor roles, lead the team, and oversee the operations of the park.

We offer a flexible work schedule, with hours ranging from 14 to 37.5 hours per week, and a salary of £5.80 – £10.50 per hour (depending on age). You will also have the opportunity to gain a fixed term full-time position and access ongoing leadership training. Holiday will be accrued at a rate of 12.07% per hour and will be paid out at the end of each month on top of your normal wage. You will not be entitled to paid leave.

West Country Water Park is open 7 days per week, so you must be available to work a mixture of both weekdays and weekends. Our benefits package includes discounted or free food, employee discount, flexitime, free parking, and on-site parking. Our training and progression opportunities include RLSS Open Water Lifeguard, Emergency First Aid at Work, and Stand up paddle board instructing.

Who We're Looking For

The West Country Water Park is seeking to hire activity team members and supervisors to join its team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about providing excellent customer service and are committed to promoting the welfare of everyone, including children and vulnerable people. Any candidate must be confident in the water, highly observant, and able to provide clear instructions to members of the public for their own safety.

We are looking for individuals who are willing to learn, take initiative, and have a desire to reach the highest standards in their work. As an activity team member or supervisor, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining all water sports activities, including daily safety inspections of equipment and lifeguarding the aquapark. You must be willing to work a mixture of weekdays and weekends and be available to work 8-hour shifts.

Our ideal candidate will have a background in water sports or other outdoor activities and will possess great communication skills, conflict resolution skills, and be calm under pressure. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of different business divisions, such as the aquapark and hire centre. You must have leadership qualities and be able to lead the activity team by example, carrying out weekly and daily maintenance checks and completing opening and closing procedures. We offer ongoing leadership training and opportunities for progression to help our employees grow and develop within the company.
