Paddle Bristol’s Most Beautiful Lake
For paddle boarding Bristol offers few better settings than our sheltered natural lake near Winterbourne, where you can also try inflatable kayaking or our one-of-a-kind Super Jumbo SUP. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned paddler, sessions run for 2 hours, are supervised by our trained team, and are open to all ages from 2 upwards. Furthermore, everything you need is available to hire on-site, just turn up and paddle. As a result, you can combine paddle sports with lessons, the Aqua Park, or a swimming session for a full day out.

Your Session, Step by Step
- Arrive Early – To get the most from your time on the water, check in at reception at least 15–20 minutes before your session start time.
- Kit Up – Get fitted with your buoyancy aid (mandatory for all – only our provided aids are permitted on the lake).
- Safety Briefing – Next, our qualified team runs a briefing on shore before anyone enters the water.
- On the Lake – Enjoy 2 hours paddling freely, or follow guidance from our team.
- Warm Down – Afterwards, use our changing rooms, hot outdoor showers, and on-site café before heading home.

We Provide
- Stable beginner-friendly paddleboards (SUP)
- Inflatable kayaks
- Buoyancy aids for all (mandatory)
- Paddles and all paddle sports equipment
- Qualified on-site supervision throughout
Age requirements: Ages 2–6 must be on board with 1 adult (1:1). Children aged 6–8 need 1 adult per 2 children. However, ages 9–15 can paddle independently with 1 supervising adult on-site per 12 children. Finally, ages 16+ require no supervision at all.


Groups, Parties and Special Offers
Paddle sports are one of the most popular group activities near Bristol. Whether it’s a birthday, hen or stag do, corporate team-building day, or school trip, our natural lake is ideal for groups of all sizes. In particular, the Super Jumbo SUP – holding 4–9 people – is a crowd favourite for group days out on the water. Therefore, if you’re planning a larger event, it’s worth booking early to secure your date.

Terms and Conditions
By signing this waiver, you acknowledge that water activities carry inherent risks, including the risk of injury, and that participation is at your own risk where we are not at fault. You agree to follow all staff instructions, behave responsibly, and not participate if pregnant or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. You also confirm that you and any children you sign for are competent swimmers, and that any medical conditions will be disclosed to our team on arrival.
