Activity Team Member/Supervisor
Job Specification
0 hrs contract + the opportunity to gain a fixed term full time position.
Hours: 14 – 37.5 per week
Salary: £7.50 – £10.42 per hour (age dependant)
Would you like the opportunity to work at the most exciting new water sports venue in the UK? The West Country Water Park is currently recruiting for activity team members to join our team. For a limited number of applicants we will be offering a fixed term contract, with the potential to be taken on full time. Successful applicants for this contract will have the opportunity to progress into supervisor roles and take on additional responsibilities when full training is complete.
The park has a wide selection of outdoor activities available and is the perfect place for families to try something new together. Required:
Confident in the water.
Be highly observant
Be confident giving instructions to members of the public, for their own safety.
You must be able to run a minimum of 200m on the shoreline
Willing to use equipment such as paddle boards.

Job Roles:
Activity Team Member
Set up of all watersports activities
Daily safety inspections of equipment
Lifeguarding the aquapark
Supervise the lake whilst swim session and SUP session are in running
Provide first aid when required
Cleaning and maintenance of site
Weekly staff training sessions
Instruct paddle boarding lessons
Assist with equipment hire and maintenance
Instil the culture of the park into our customers
Provide excellent customer service
Supervisor
Oversee the operation of the different business divisions (aquapark, hire centre etc)
Provide first aid when required
Pilot rescue vehicles
Lead the activity team by example
Carry out weekly and daily maintenance checks
Lead in house staff training sessions
Complete opening and closing procedures
Training and Progression:
RLSS Open Water Lifeguard
Emergency First Aid at Work
Stand up paddle board instructing
Ongoing leadership training
Hours:
West Country Water Park is open 7 days per week due to the nature of the business. For this reason you will be required to work a mixture of both weekdays and weekends.
Holiday
Holiday will be accrued at a rate of 12.07% per hour and will be paid out at the end of each month on top of your normal wage. For this reason you will not be entitled to paid leave.
